healing center gardens
ESTES PARK, CO
ROLE: LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Project Team: Blue Mountain Environmental, Paul Brown/Architect, Crystal Gardens/Client, & Van Horn Engineering
A new jewel and sanctuary of healing in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, these gardens promote a connection with nature.
In harmonious existence with the local Ponderosa pine savanna, restorative public gardens will be created which incorporate natural areas, numerous large quartz crystals from around the world, and meditative spaces to promote mental health and healing. Pulling inspiration from the Greek and Japanese cultures known for their healing spaces in nature, the restorative gardens will also maintain a firm connection to place through the use of native materials.
Integral factors driving the master-planning process are habitat and ecological restoration, water conservation, and fire protection practices.
